Things to do in Harlech
Harlech is a charming historic Welsh coastal town on the edge of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park in North Wales. It is a place of guts, quirk, and rather epic, timeless beauty. Sitting proud on a hillside looking out to sea, Harlech is flanked by the majestic mountains of Eryri to the east, with Cardigan Bay and the Irish Sea to the west. If you haven’t already heard where have you been?? Caffi Y Garreg do the best pizzas in the area! Book to stay at this traditional country cottage, Bodlondeb, for a minimum of 3 nights in October 2021 and you will receive a lovely treat from the Nerys the owner, a free pizza from Caffi Y Garreg….now just to decide whether its going to be Welsh cheddar…caramelised garlic mushrooms….salami…..
Dylans Restaurant Opens in Criccieth
North Wales’ top fish restaurant, Dylans opened the doors to its second establishment in May and it hasn’t disappointed. It is set in the stunning beach front Morannedd building, an art deco style building designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis; the visionary of Portmeirion Village. It’s a really beautiful experience; wonderfully cooked and presented fresh fish, incredible views through the surrounding floor to ceiling windows all bought together with a modern, rustic yet traditional interior – we love the menu’s! So what did we have…The Ffrwythau’ R MOR (welsh for Fruit De Mer) was out of this world, the whitebait was the best I’ve ever had, the crab cakes were a real hit and the oysters were so fresh they definitely deserve a mention. The Samphire is amazing – if you haven’t tried it before, this will be a good place to give it a go. All bread is baked daily on the premises and needless to…
