Tucked away in the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside, Clematis-Y-Ffynnon is a large, pet-friendly farmhouse where comfort, character and countryside charm combine. Sleeping up to 12 guests across five bedrooms, this sociable retreat is made for family gatherings, special occasions and carefree rural escapes.
Step inside to find a large open-plan living area with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. A wood burner glows in the corner, the perfect excuse for long evenings with a glass of red and a good chat. The kitchen is fully equipped - think double oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and enough crockery to host a banquet - while the adjoining dining area invites leisurely breakfasts that somehow stretch into lunch.
On the ground floor, you’ll find two bedrooms - a double room and a double with bunk beds – along with a wet room and an additional WC, making the cottage ideal for assisted wheelchair guests or those preferring level access.
Upstairs, there are three twin bedrooms, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for families and groups. A stylish bathroom completes the picture with a bath, shower and WC.
Outside, you’ll discover private gardens, a fire pit, BBQ, and even hammocks strung between the trees. The shared hot tub overlooks a paddock of friendly llamas, while the estate’s 23 acres of woodland, meadows and riverside walks invite exploration. You can stroll to the river for a spot of wild swimming, wander along the disused railway line through bluebell woods, or simply enjoy the soundtrack of birdsong and running water.
Guests are welcome to meet the resident alpacas, goats, rabbits, ducks, and chickens - a highlight for little ones, especially when Les hosts morning feeding rounds. It’s all wonderfully relaxed and down-to-earth: a proper countryside escape where you can swap screens for scenery and deadlines for dragonflies.
