Lloft-Sarn is a cute little holiday cottage on the Pen Llyn ( Llyn Peninsula). Set out on one floor in a studio style layout, makes it a great space for spending some really good quality family time and it’s central location makes the cottage a perfect base from which to explore the Pen Llyn .

As you come up the stairs, immediately in front of you is the sitting area which has a really nice warm feel to it. The flat screen TV located on the wall is well positioned so as not to intrude on the space whilst at the same time will be great for film nights! The log burner to the far left is a great addition and will really make for those cosy evenings - all the sofa’s, chairs and rugs add to a real sense of charm to the place and the underfloor heating throughout will ensure you are toastie warm.

To the left is the kitchen and dining area. Lovely modern / country farm style units and granite worktop. The layout is really well done here. the kitchen has it’s own space whilst still part of the room; all very good quality and attention to detail can been seen throughout.

At the other end of the sitting room are the bedrooms and bathroom. The double has a wrought iron bed with the rest of the room being tastefully decorated as with the rest of the cottage. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds. The family bathroom has a large walk in shower and again, all to a high spec.

Lloft-Sarn is part of 3 properties which when rented together can sleep up to 16 people (please refer to property Sarn). Whilst each individual cottage has its own outside space and privacy, there is a large, shared open space where you will find football goals, swings, climbing frame and a 14ft trampoline along with a gas BBQ. There is also plenty of parking.

Location

Lloft-Sarn is located just outside the the small village of Sarn Meyllteyrn and is perfectly located for exploring the hidden coves and beaches of the Pen Llyn. You really should make the effort to explore as they really are very beautiful with turquoise waters and waterfalls running onto beaches.

Abersoch, a 15 minute drive away, has lots of trendy restaurants and shops; it is a very lively town with a strong surfing culture. Pwllheli, 10 minutes further on, is great for shopping and the sailing centre has had a lot of investment making it again a great place to visit.

Aberdaron to the east is another pretty little village. Nicer for being a little more undiscovered perhaps. Consider booking the little ferry that runs to Bardsey Island, a very special place to visit. Ty Coch Inn, near Nefyn is another place you might want to visit as it is known to be one of the best 10 beach bars in the world.

Had a lovely stay at Lloft-Sarn last week – Rhian is so welcoming & obviously takes great pride in her properties. Accommodation was lovely & clean – very comfortable – with everything you could need – and in a lovely spot on the Llyn Peninsula.

Thankyou for your comments – I’m pleased you enjoyed staying in LLofftstabal – I try my best to provide guests with the best possible experience. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to wean the calves during the week that you were staying with us and that was why a couple of the nights were a bit noisy. This only happens a couple of times a year and we usually try to avoid periods when guests are staying, but being a proper working farm this is sometimes unavoidable.
I am continuously looking at ways to make my guests stay as pleasant as possible and from now on will be supplying a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and milk to go with the home made cakes that we already provide.
I do hope that we can welcome you back here one day.

The cottage is well decorated, clean and tidy. Underfloor heating throughout the living room and bathroom made it feel very cosy and the roof lights gave it a bright and airy feel. We particularly enjoyed the modern and well designed kitchen area. The bedroom had a cosy and comfortable double bed and nice bed linen was provided. The owner, Rhian, was helpful and accommodating.

A thing to note is that directly opposite is a cattle farm which we personally found quite noisy, especially during the night as it’s otherwise in a very quiet rural location. If you’re a light sleeper, this might be a problem for you.

From our experiences staying in other self-catering accommodation in the UK and Europe, we thought the kitchen might be stocked with some basics like tea / coffee, salt / pepper, oil etc. but in this case it unfortunately wasn’t.

The cottage has a great location for exploring the area & is easy to get to.
It is situated in lovely grounds of a local farm.
It is beautifully furnished to a high standard with a very warm & homely feel to it.
It completely catered for all our needs of a family of 4 & was the ideal size for our 4 night stay.
The owners are extremely helpful & accommodating; we were welcomed by 2 beautiful local cooked cakes that were absolutely delicious thanks.
The cottage was spotless on arrival & all the towels & linen provided was beautifully fresh.
We can’t thank you enough for a lovely family break & we will definitely look to return.
Thank you very much.
