Tucked away on a peaceful Pembrokeshire smallholding, Eiddew-Y-Ffynnon is a romantic stone cottage with hot tub in Pembrokeshire - the sort of place where stress evaporates faster than steam rising from your bubbles.

Step through the stable door and into a welcoming open-plan kitchen and dining space, complete with shaker-style cupboards, a gas oven, and all the culinary kit you could need. The layout is compact yet clever, blending traditional warmth with modern touches. A cosy conservatory lounge, bathed in light from its garden-facing windows, offers the perfect spot to sink into a leather sofa and watch the countryside drift by (preferably with a glass of something sparkling).

The bedroom is calm and comfortable, featuring a kingsize bed dressed in soft linens. The bathroom is fresh and modern with a walk-in shower - ideal for washing off the day’s adventures. Outside, the private patio leads onto lush, tree-lined grounds that roll gently down towards the river. The hot tub sits just beside the conservatory, perfectly placed for stargazing or watching the alpacas meander in the fields beyond.

Guests are invited to explore the 23 acres of Wellstone Cottages - a working smallholding that’s home to a friendly menagerie of alpacas, goats, rabbits, ducks, and geese (plus Peg and Fez, the resident cats who occasionally supervise proceedings). A couple of mornings each week, Les takes little ones to feed the animals - a delightful experience for children and a rare lie-in opportunity for parents.

With fibre-optic broadband and Internet TV, you’re not completely cut off from the world (unless you want to be). Add in the fire pit, BBQ, and outdoor dining area, and you’ve got all the ingredients for long, lazy evenings under the stars. Dogs, cats, tortoises, and even gerbils have been known to stay here - and all are welcome, as long as they’re on their best behaviour.

Eiddew-Y-Ffynnon is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort - a little slice of rural heaven where you can reconnect with nature, your loved one, and perhaps your inner child.

Location

Nestled in the Pembrokeshire countryside, Eiddew-Y-Ffynnon sits within the Wellstone Cottages estate - 23 acres of woodland, pasture, and riverside walks that follow the River Taf. The disused railway line running through the property now makes a lovely footpath, ideal for morning strolls or giving the dogs a good run.

You’re just 20 minutes from Cardigan, a lively coastal town packed with independent shops, art galleries, and a castle overlooking the Teifi Estuary. The surrounding coastline is stunning - from Poppit Sands to Mwnt Beach, both known for dolphin spotting and dramatic sunsets. Closer to home, a local pub within a mile serves hearty food and local ales, while nearby Preseli Hills offer miles of hiking, wild swimming spots, and sweeping views across West Wales.

Return in the evening to the comforting glow of your cottage, the scent of woodsmoke from the fire pit, and the gentle burble of the river. Whether you’re here for romance, rest, or rural adventure, this little corner of Pembrokeshire has a habit of stealing hearts.
