Where do I start, OMG What a beautiful, beautiful, cottage set in some gorgeous grounds with the river dee flowing at the bottom of your garden, having pheasants dropping in, having a wood pecker feeding from your bird feeder. Are you getting the picture !! This was a Birthday 🎂 surprise for my partner who said it was the best gift she has EVER had. The cottage was immaculate, The complementary food basket consisting of wine, biscuits, bread, fresh coffee, preservatives. Then fresh Welsh butter and fresh milk.
You could not ask for anything else. Then outside in a lovely hot tub, and to come back in to a log fire. It was just a dream. WELL DONE ANDY and all your staff for a unforgettable break.

This was our first and most definitely not our last stay at Ghillies Cottage. It was spotlessly
clean, cosy and welcoming. A basket containing local Welsh produce was such a thoughtful
touch. Everything is thought of, from the information on how to use things within the cottage,
to local walks and recommended places to dine. Our garden was so peaceful. Overlooking
the River Dee, of which you have access to, we saw 2 kingfishers whilst sat listening to the
birds. There was ample space to walk our large dog first thing in the morning and the
provision of a wash point complete with dog shampoo and dog towels is brilliant. The hot tub
was gorgeous and a real treat. The river catcher site is spotless and so pretty. We both felt
so rested and rejuvenated by the end of our week and we didn’t want to leave.

Ghillies Cottage was the perfect place for us to relax and recharge, we loved the location
and enjoyed the beautiful Welsh scenery. The garden was perfect with the river just through
the gate, I loved relaxing in the hot tub after a full day of sightseeing. Everything we needed
was provided in the cottage and we will definitely be back.

Superb Stay Once again
We stayed for a midweek stay this September – we got really lucky with the weather as well
which certainly helped to make the week a lovely stay. We have stayed previously in a larger
property, but chose to stay at Ghilles as it was just the 3 of us (2 adults, 1 dog)
Firstly, to acknowledge the lovely welcome pack we received went down a treat. The house
itself was clean, well maintained and fully stocked, from extra cloths, bin liners etc and there
is a definite luxury about the properties – bathrobes, granite worktops, comfortable settee,
nice glasses, the lovely hot tub, under floor heating in the bathroom etc
The staff around the property were also friendly and helpful – the grounds and river area are
maintained to a really high standard, absolutely no faults or issues here. These properties
are totally dog friendly as well – the gardens are secure and the river area is gated (just in
case you have an enthusiastic water baby like our dog)
